entimo AG semiannual newsletter Nr. 10 (1.7.07-31.12.07)
Dear Readers,
As the new year is already well underway, we would like to inform you about the exciting new developments that transpired here at entimo over the past year.
In 2007 entimo continued to expand its prestigous customer list which now includes a top US pharmaceutical company in addition to our european customer base. In addition to welcoming a large US pharmaceutical customer who decided to adopt PhaLIMS for their pharmacokinetics solution, we are equally excited to announce that our newly acquired product ToxKin was chosen by another top german pharmaceutical giant for their noncompartmental analysis of toxicokinetic and pharmacokinetic studies. We are very happy about these two new acquisitions and are looking forward to further developing and supporting our pre-clinical IT solutions suite that includes PhaLIMS and ToxKin.
In addition to providing new releases of our pre-clinical suite products we have also continued to expand our IT clinical suite of products (entimICE DARE, entimICE PORTAL) by introducing entimICE ETC. entimICE ETC is an environment for operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ) of SAS macros. entimICE ETC can be used as a standalone application or can be integrated into entimICE DARE. We also have been working hard in enhancing the functionality of our modular entimICE DARE platform by adding modules for mapping of data and CDISC formats, data profiling, validation of programs and outputs. In addition, our pricing model has been expanded in order to accomodate potential customers with a relatively small user base such as small to medium size CROs and biotechs.
After growing our customer base for our products and services both in Europe and the US in 2007, we look optimistically at new developments in 2008 and are looking forward to continuing to expand our business relationship with you in 2008.
Best regards,
Dimitrios J. Karadimas

In This Issue:
New overseas customer for PhaLIMS
PhaLIMS was the pharmacokinetic LIMS choice for a large US pharmaceutical customer which, after concluding a testing period late last year, will be entering production with PhaLIMS in 2008.
ToxKin is selected by a top german pharmaceutical giant
Toxkin was the reporting tool choice for a top 25 pharmaceutical giant for their non-compartmental toxicology analysis. After a lengthy evaluation process, ToxKin was the system of choice since it provides an easy to use solution for the process optimization of toxicology standard reporting.
PhUSE 2007 in Lisbon entimo again exhibited at PhUSE, this time co-sponsoring the yearly event, which took place in October in Lisbon. This year's event was well attended with lots of interesting presentations.
New product - entimICE® ETC - joins e-clinical product suite
We were also excited to announce late last year, a new product that joined our e-clinical solutions suite. The entimICE ETC (Electronic Test Cases) is an environment for operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ) of SAS macros. It automates and guarantees a complete, traceable and well documented test planning and execution.
New modules for entimICE® DARE
During the past year we put a lot of effort into extending the functionality of entimICE DARE by adding modules for mapping data and CDISC formats, data profiling and program and output validation.
Expanded pricing model for entimICE® DARE
After spending a considerable amount of time talking to small and medium sized CROs and biotechs about their needs for optimizing their biostatistical operations, we decided to expand the pricing model for entimICE DARE in order to better accomodate smaller customers that have a reduced set of requirements as well as potential system users. Since entimICE DARE was built on a modular architecture, we went ahead and repackaged entimICE DARE to include 'light' versions of the system which offer small and medium customers the opportunity to introduce entimICE DARE to their organizations with a relatively low cost and still provide them with an upgrade path to the full entimICE DARE functionality as their needs and requirements grow.
entimICE® provides common code base for all products
Since its inception 5 years ago, the modular Java based entimICE platform has been envisioned as the common code base for all of entimo's products and custom development. The strategic decision to invest in such a common code base has provided us and our customers with a security measure that has reduced the market reliance of a particular vertical application and has secured the continuous development of all products and applications that are built on top of the entimICE platform.
During the past year this vision became a reality. Several products and custom built applications that entimo has been developing for the pre-clinical and clinical R&D now share the entimICE common code base.
