RegIS (Registration Information System)

Customer Profile

The Bayer Crop Science AG develops, produces and sells crop protection products worldwide and is considered because of its innovative products and know-how as one of the leading providers in the crop protection field.

The Bayer Crop Science AG product palette encompasses in addition to herbicide, fungicide, insecticide and seed treatment products also products in the non-agricultural fields. To these belong products in the field of Environ-mental Science for the pest combat in the house and garden or for commercial use.

Project Goals

A prerequisite for the production and sale of crop protection products is their official registration approval, which prescribes residue tests in food and animal feed including their processed products for the environment (soil and water). The results of these tests are embraced in experimental studies.

Essential standpoints for the conceptual design were:

  • Creation of a unified, researchable studies database
  • Consolidation of internal and external conducted studies
  • Generation of registration approval documents and lists
  • Interfaces for registration and document management systems
  • Data import out of other data management systems

Solution Advantages

RegIS is the "Registration Information System", in which the combined test studies results are collected, processed, checked and analyzed.

RegIS offers high flexibilty with regards to study layouts. A differenciated authorization concept distinguishes between the functions of the editor and the status of the studies.

RegIS enables through its multifaceted research possibilities (crop commodity, product, substance, application amounts, application methods, analysis methods, etc.), to quickly find and compare studies of varying criteria.

RegIS supports the manual collection of studies through multifaceted input assistance and validation functions.

RegIS delivers various registration approval reports and lists in Word format (i.e. lBBA sheets, Tier I/II Summary). The registration approval reports conform to the provisions of the registration approval authorities and permit for further user editing.

RegIS provides an interface, through which all necessary data for the calculation of the "Maximum Residue Level" by the program "MRL-Calc" is tranfered.

RegIS imports through an additional interface data from studies originating from other external systems (i.e. LIMS).
