With Electronic Test Cases, entimo offers a automated test environment for operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ) of SAS macros and programs which garanties complete, traceable and automatically well documented test planning and execution.

The software solution covers all phases of the testing process from test planning through test execution up to test documentation. The test cases are realized as SAS base scripts divided into test cases. For every test case, expected results can be defined. The fulfillment of the expected results can be automatically checked and reported per test case and as a summary. Generated log messages can be verified, created output objects (i.e. SAS data sets, SAS format catalogs, and other file types like ASCII, Excel, CVS, RTF, PDF, HTML, XML, graphic formats etc.) can be checked against stored reference objects for correctness, thus performing operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ).

Using a set of macros out of entimo’s extensive macro libraries, test results are automatically stored and related to the corresponding test execution and test case. References can be defined at the test case level (e.g. requirement numbers). A traceability matrix can be generated based on these definitions.
